For the 14th and 15th of April a forum on sustainability is taking place in the BUAP to discuss the worsening environmental conditions which are seen throughout the Valley of Mexico, and the threat which this deterioration of the environment can pose to human beings.
Over 30 academics and experts on the environment will be attending the two day event in an attempt to involve more students in the fight against climate change, and to evoke a sense of sustainability in order to attempt to counter-act the effects of climate change.
The event also marks the beginning of the ‘Management of University Waste’ program, which aims to reduce the negative impact caused by the inefficient management of waste generated by the university.
The new program aims toot only correctly separate and recycle rubbish, but to also recollect and transport it to the necessary destination. The forum is organised by the BUAP’s foundation, in collaboration with the Mexican Society of Environmental Engineering and the Institute of Renewable Energies.
