Debate for Candidates for Governor of Puebla takes place tonight

At 8pm tonight in the theatre of the Complejo Cultural Universitario the five candidates for governor of Puebla will take part in the only public debate of the campaign. The meeting is expected to last around 90 minutes and will be moderated by Vicky Fuentes.

The Electoral Institute of the State, which has organised the debate, has laid down strict rules in an attempt to minimise any questionable tactics employed by the candidates. The strictness of the event has greatly increased since the beginning of the campaigning, due to the underhand tactics which many of the candidates have used.

As such, the candidates will meet at 6pm with a maximum of four invitees to enter in a raffle to decide the order of running. Each candidate will have two minutes to introduce themselves, and three minutes to quickly sum up their ideas involving the topics of how to improve society, the economy and the government. At the end of each section, one minute will be designated to each candidate for counter replies.

The debate will be broadcast on radio, television and online.
