Last night in el Foro Sol stadium the British band Coldplay played its second of three performances in the Mexican capital. This round of their tour comes six years after their previous events in Mexico.
The band had a lot to live up to after their performance at the 50th Super Bowl this year, and they did nit disappoint. The show was an incredible experience from the start, not merely because of the music but the atmosphere itself was amazing, aided by the fact that every person in the stadium, all 62000 people were given glow sticks which were synchronised to the music.
The night was made even better when Christ Martin, the frontman of the band, spouted some unexpected Spanish, welcoming everyone to the gig and saying how happy they were to be in Mexico. The band played many of their greatest hits, including “Yellow”, “Paradise” and “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall”.
Coldplay will be playing one more show in el Foro Sol before continuing on their world tour and heading back to Europe, to play in Nice, France in May.
